Eleanor’s Christmas Crochet party

For most it was the first weekend of winter break. The studio transformed into a festive, yarn-filled wonderland for Eleanor’s Christmas Crochet Party. A cozy, fun, and free event organized and led by one of our very own Vivistop makers.

Eleanor wanted to bring people together during the holidays around her two favorite things: Christmas and crochet, and that’s exactly what she did. She invited friends, fellow creatives, and first-timers to spend an afternoon crocheting holiday-themed pieces. Whether someone was brand new, still learning the basics, or already confident with a hook, there was space for everyone to join in.

To help guide the way, Eleanor organized her little helpers who moved around the room, offering support, encouragement, and tips for anyone who needed a hand. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with people chatting, helping each other out, and celebrating even the wonkiest first stitch.

But the event wasn’t just about the crochet, it was about the cozy holiday spirit too. Everyone was gathered on a couch or a air mattress with soft blankets and pillows. Eleanor also set up a hot chocolate bar, complete with toppings, snacks to share, and even organized a white elephant gift exchange, where each participant brought a small wrapped gift to contribute to the fun. The mix of handmade crafts, laughter, and surprise gift swapping made the whole event feel like something out of a holiday movie.

Big mahalo to Eleanor and her little helpers for bringing so much warmth and joy to the season.
